The S22 Ultra was actually the first smartphone we looked into. She previously owned the Samsung S7 and loved it, so she's familiar with the Samsung ecosystem. Well in terms of scratch resistance, GG5 and 6 are the same, but 6 is better from drops. I think for that reason, and due to being cheaper, lots of OEMs use 5 over 6. Personally I doubt they'd use Victus, unless Google knew about this a while ago, the Pixel 5 would be too far into development to implement the new glass.
